Inspired by Schlingensief's „Kirche der Angst vor dem Fremden in mir", the installation translates fear as inner movement into a subtle field of light extending beyond the church into the city.
Quiet Drift unfolds as a slow, almost imperceptible movement through color and atmosphere. Indie Radar Ruhr operated the system independently each evening via a simple interface and manual.
Over 25 evenings, Quiet Drift became the visual signature of City Adventszauber — transforming the church façade into a landmark of collective experience. Light became a breathing layer, inviting visitors to pause, look up, and share a moment of stillness.
